Kamiah Taught with Love. Her Legacy Teaches On.
Kamiah was an elementary school teacher who cared deeply not only about what her students learned, but about who they were, who they could become, and the difference they could make in the world.
Her classroom was a place where students were seen, encouraged, supported, and believed in. Teaching was more than a profession to Kamiah; it was a calling rooted in compassion, dedication, and love for her students.
Although Kamiah is no longer here to stand in her classroom, the impact she made continues through the lives she touched.

Continuing Kamiah’s Legacy
The Kamiah Joseph-George Memorial Scholarship was created to honor her life, her passion for education, and her unwavering commitment to her students. This scholarship will support students pursuing degrees in education who share the qualities Kamiah valued so deeply: a passion for learning, a heart for helping others, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their future students. Through this scholarship, we hope to help future teachers follow their calling—and carry forward the same compassion, encouragement, and love for students that Kamiah gave so freely.
From Kamiah’s Heart to Tomorrow’s Classrooms
Every scholarship recipient represents another classroom that will be touched by a caring teacher, another student who may feel encouraged to believe in themselves, and another opportunity for Kamiah’s legacy to live on. Her story does not end with her absence. It continues in every teacher who inspires. In every student who discovers their potential. And in every life changed by the gift of a dedicated educator.
Thank you for helping us keep Kamiah’s light shining by investing in the educators of tomorrow.
